“This night in Rome when you played under the pantheon, with the sound of the heavy rain all around is forever burnt into my heart. Thank you for your wonderful art and passion, it’s my favorite souvenir of Italy.”
“This music isn’t jazz nor classical, it’s pure love and creativity, and the most beautiful tribute to Georges Brassens I ever witnessed. I can’t believe we had to hear it so far from France!”
“Whenever I think of Venice, I hear Kerner and Janevski spreading magic in the city.”
About the album Kerner & Janevski TOGETHER :
“If the flute were to speak she would thank Kerner & Janevski for standing up showing finally what she is capable of doing, both with her angelic sound as well as with her velocity and strength”
“Your way of allying flutes and guitars sounds like nothing else in jazz music. But it’s the symbiosis of your two souls expressing themselves in one only sound, violent, passionate, hurt, hurting, loving, tearing apart, in a royal despise for good manners, that makes what we receive as a final product, simple beauty”
“This first album is filled with so many beauties that I find myself surprised, listening to it months after I received its first big splash of light”
This is the voice of people. And so far, people give a meaning to what I do.
Yanouv Kerner
September 2005, Yanouv flew away, with no agent, no money, no producer, no director of marketing, no public relations specialist, no assistant nor secretary, without even his musicians whom he since meet directly on stage where ever the gigs take them.
He is now somewhere around the world, paying an ultimate tribute to the audience that has always defied and nourished him: the street
Started from Paris, Yanouv is supposed to end the first part of his odyssey on Christmas Day 2006, in Times Square New York where the recording of the second album is supposed to take place. He would have then had crossed 20 countries, 56 cities, and given 317 concerts.
If the devil doesn’t show his ugly nose somewhere in between, you might have a chance to see Yanouv Kerner around thoses cities.
